3. Generative AI Data Handling
How our labs process your requests.
We utilize advanced AI models (Gemini 2.5 Flash, Imagen, and Veo) to provide state-of-the-art educational tools:
- Audio Study: Your study prompts are processed via secure Text-to-Speech synthesis to create grade-specific audio masterclasses.
- Imagine Studio: Image requests are processed to generate custom educational visuals. No uploaded textbook photos are used to train external AI models.
- Vision Analysis: When you scan a textbook page, the AI analyzes the visual content solely to provide immediate homework assistance.
4. Payment & Wallet Security
PCI-DSS compliant card and cash handling.
Transactions in our Store & Pricing section are secured using industry-leading partners:
- Yoco (Card Payments): Your card details are handled directly by Yoco via their secure gateway. Nolwazi AI never stores or sees your full card number, CVV, or expiry date.
- OTT Voucher (Cash Recharges): We process voucher PINs solely to verify and credit your Nolwazi Wallet. We maintain a secure ledger of your transaction history for your own review.
5. Data Retention & Sharing

We share information only with essential service providers like Google Cloud (Firebase) and our payment partners to maintain platform functionality. We do not sell your data to third parties. We retain your learning history and profile data only as long as your account remains active.
6. Children's Online Privacy

Nolwazi is built for learners. We do not track children for behavioral advertising. All AI responses are governed by strict safety filters to ensure they are age-appropriate and culturally respectful for South African students.
